New Membership Application Process

Prospective Members can choose either the Online or Mail application process. No Dues payment should accompany either application process, payment will be made after notification of application approval.

The Online application link at the bottom of this page will direct you to a page on our website to complete your application which will require an email address to submit. Your email address will become your Username to access your online record in our membership database, after application approval, for subsequent year’s online membership renewal and payment.

The Mail application link at the bottom of this page will provide a downloadable PDF of the New Member Application to print, complete, and mail to Cocalico Sportsmen Association, P.O. Box 119, Reinholds, PA, 17569. Alternatively, you can pick up a mail-in application from the box outside the Clubhouse Lower Entrance and follow the same mail-in process.

Membership is open to anyone 18 years of age or older. New Member Applications will be submitted for approval by the Voting Members at the next monthly meeting after receipt of the application. By signing the New Member Application, you agree to abide by the By-Laws and Rules and Regulations of the Club, and that violations of such may be grounds for dismissal, without remuneration.

Currently there are no restrictions on new memberships, however a Prospective Member may be denied membership if a known history of dismissal from another sportsman’s club for significant conduct or safety concerns is expressed to the Voting Members at the monthly meeting where their application is considered. Prospective Members do not require sponsorship by a Current Member, but all new applications must be approved by the Voting Members.

If membership is approved, the Online Applicant, and any Mail Applicants who provided an email address on their paper application, will immediately receive an email from the Membership Chairperson advising them of approval. Mail Applicants without an email address will receive a postcard. Both the email and postcard will instruct you to attend an upcoming Orientation Meeting where you will pay your 2024 New Members Dues and receive your new membership card. The Orientation Meeting will introduce new members to all aspects and activities of the club, all rules, regulations and, most importantly, the expectations for using the facilities in a safe and responsible manner. Orientation Meetings will be offered the second Sunday of every month at 10:00am, and at Noon of every scheduled work party. Reservations are not needed, just show up at the designated time.

2024 New Member Dues are $50.00 and Membership Dues are not prorated. New Member Applications received and approved beginning with the August 2023 monthly meeting and anytime up to and including the July 2024 monthly meeting will have membership good through December 31, 2024. New Member Applications received and approved beginning with the August 2024 monthly meeting and anytime up to and including the July 2025 monthly meeting will have membership good through December 31, 2025.

All approved 2024 New Members must participate in (1) scheduled Work Party before December 31, 2024. Failure to do so will preclude you from renewing your membership for 2025. Alternatively, you may a Work Party Waiver Fee of $75.00 at the Orientation Meeting, or any time after, up to December 31, 2024 to be eligible for renewal.

Work Party exemptions are available for active-duty military service and those with physical disabilities preventing manual labor. The 2024 Work Party dates are tentatively scheduled for March 23, May 4, June 8, August 10, September 7, and October Please check the website for final dates. Work parties run from 8:00 am until 12:00 pm. No reservations are needed; simply show up prepared for outdoor work. All members are welcome to participate, and all help is appreciated.

2023 Current Member Renewal Process for 2024 Membership

2024 Annual Dues are $40.00 and The Annual Newsletter with 2024 renewal information was mailed to all 2023 Current Members in September 2023. 2024 Mail-in Membership Renewal Applications are included in this newsletter and can be completed and returned upon receipt with the $40.00 Annual Dues for 2024. Dues envelopes must be post-marked by December 31, 2023.

2024 Online Renewal Dues are $35.00 and the 2024 Online Renewal period will open October 1, 2023 and end December 31, 2023. During that time, you may login to our website and complete the 2024 renewal process for a discounted $35.00 Online Renewal Fee for 2024.

2024 Grace Period Renewal Dues are $50.00 and beginning January 1, 2024, a delinquent 2023 Current Member may login to our website and either renew online by January 31, 2024, or download a PDF of the 2024 Grace Period Membership Renewal Application, print, complete, and mail it to Cocalico Sportsmen Association, P.O. Box 119, Reinholds, PA, 17569, post-marked by January 31, 2024. The 2024 Grace Period Renewal Dues are $50.00 for renewal by either method.

If a 2023 Current Member does not renew by January 31, 2024 by any of the options stated above, they must reapply as a 2024 New Member, following the application process as stated above, including the Work Party requirements.

2023 New Members who joined before August 2023, but did not fulfill their Work Party requirements, either by participation in a Work Party or paying the Work Party Waiver Fee by December 31, 2023, are not eligible for this Grace Period renewal and must reapply as a 2024 New Member with the Work Party requirements.

Checks returned from the bank for any reason will be returned to the Member and require the Member to pay the bank service fee in addition to the original Dues in question and re-submit by certified check or money order.

Guest Privileges Policy

All Members in good standing are entitled to host guests to use our facilities, under their direct supervision at all times, and are responsible for the conduct of their guests while on club property. Host Members with guests should be considerate of not interfering with other Members using the facilities.

Members are limited to a maximum of (3) guests per visit. A guest is permitted to use club facilities a maximum of (3) times, after which they should join as a Member. Guests may use the pond but may not keep fish; catch and release only. Members may not use the Guest Pass for commercial purposes including charging guests for admission or firearm training purposes.

Guests must complete and sign the Guest Liability Waiver prior to using the facilities.  Detach and display the Guest Pass with the Host’s membership card while using facilities and deposit the signed Waiver in the marked box at the clubhouse entrance.
